Creative Psychotherapy

Meg Kelleher, LCSW

Owner of Therapy Rogers Park, PLLC

As Oscar Wilde once said, "One's real life is so often the life that one does not lead." But, for you, today can be a decisive step into a life of greater authenticity, creativity, interpersonal connection, and ease in your body.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep background working with grief, trauma, disability, and chronic illness, and outside of the office I also explore these areas as a writer and an artist.

Perhaps you are considering working with me because you desire true intimacy in your relationships, including your relationship with yourself.

Or perhaps you want to feel more at home and at ease within your body, no matter the situation.

Maybe you are living with trauma or grief and feel you need an experienced professional to sit alongside you and help you make sense and meaning out of all of this.

Or you wish to live more consciously and more in accordance with long-held fantasies and secret gifts within yourself that may have gotten displaced or devalued along the way.

Or is it perhaps that you just want to more effectively face past and current challenges and meet your own identified goals?

You and I can work together on any or all of these areas and much more. Along the way, you can expect that I will join you in exploring your history, your choices, and your hopes and dreams with unending curiosity, appreciation and respect.

I provide individual counseling with specializations including creativity development, trauma, loss and grief recovery, depression, anxiety, pain management, LGBTQIA+ support, sexuality (from a sex-positive, kink-aware perspective), gender concerns, young adults, body image, disability and chronic illness, work/educational challenges, and life transitions.

Common Questions

  1. Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new clients.

  2. Do you accept insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO only. Only you can know your insurance benefits. We collect a co-pay at the beginning of each session, and any balances not covered by insurance are due within 30 days. Remember that you have a new deductible in each calendar year.

  3. How can I pay?
If we’re in-network for you, we’ll give you information about how to pay your co-pay.

  4. What if I don’t have Blue Cross or if my insurance changes?

If we’re out-of-network for you, you’ll need to pay in full at the time of each appointment. We can provide you with a “superbill” to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, but reimbursement is never guaranteed.
